I think the world has ended! (Maybe the snow is getting to me...) But now I can share my pottery-making journey with the world (or just those who find this journal). Oh boy!
Congrats on the new Blog! I jumped in to this world a couple of months ago with hopes of helping the business. Its fun, but time-consuming. If you like, I will list your blog on mine. Have fun & I'll see you soon :)
I like making things from clay and growing crystals on them. Zinc crystals, really. The zinc will often have a conversation with cobalt, nickel, copper, iron, manganese, silver (and some other stuff) to make some pretty cool colors.
I also like fire. That's fun too. I like setting horses on fire. NO! not real ones silly! Clay horses- fired in a raku kiln. Lots of fire and fun.
I like real horses too- I ride them and work at a barn where I teach, help train and ride lots of event horses- but I don't set them on fire. That would not be fun. I've been riding for just about 20 years now...started at 4 so if you do the math, you know how old I am. Anyway, that's me. There's more that can be filled in, but that's a good start.
